The HPX2000 shoots 1080p, 1080i, 720p, 480p, 480i, 576i, AVC-Intra, DVCProHD, DVCPro… What else do you really need? Recording to Panasonic’s P2 card format, the HPX2000 offers ultimate flexibility and in today’s production environment that’s invaluable. In addition to the myriad of recording formats the camera also offers proxy recording: while recording to the P2 cards a much smaller and compressed file is recorded to an SD card, with or without a timecode burn-in. And just like the HDX900, the HPX2000 has a built-in downconverter.
The Letus B4 Relay and Ultimate can be used with this camera to create a more filmic shallow depth of field.
