The HVX200 is a 1/3″ camera but it has a lot packed into it. The camera offers both HD recording to P2 cards and SD recording to MiniDV tape. In P2 mode, the HVX200 can shoot 1080i, 720p, 580i and 576i and there is both a component HD output and composite SD output for monitoring. Two nice features of the camera are the ability to downconvert to tape in-camera from the P2 cards and time-lapse recording.
The Letus Ultimate can be used with this camera, allowing shallow depth of field.
