The PMW-F5 is a lot of camera packed into a small body. A Super 35mm CMOS sensor. Internal 1080p, 2K and 4K recording. Slow motion up to 180fps. The ability to record in MPEG2, XAVC, HDACM-SR, ProRes and DNxHD. It even has a damn good LCD viewfinder and sits nicely on your shoulder.
Our PMW-F5 comes with the Sony shoulder plate and 15mm rods, PL lens adapter, two Anton Bauer batteries and power supply, two 128GB SxS Pro+ cards, and a USB3 SxS card reader. Of course, you can add a number of optional accessories, including:
- Optitek Canon EF lens adapter (powered)
- MTF Nikon lens mount (non-powered)
- HDx35 B4–>PL lens adapter
- Additional 128 GB SxS Pro+ Cards
UPDATE: Our PMW-F5 has been upgraded to the new V7 firmware, which improves the responsiveness of the menu system; adds the incredibly useful quick menu function to the LCD side panel for easy access to critical menu items; the camera can now record 4K 59.94p/50p and MPEG 59.94i/50i simultaneously for a smooth post-production workflow; zebra levels have been expanded for easier exposure readings when in SLOG2 and SLOG3; and the status screen has been improved.
The operation manual for the Sony PMW-F5 (and PMW-F55) with the V7 firmware installed can be found here.
